Power Wash. Power washing can go a long way in terms of cleaning all the gunk off of your home and driveway, making it cleaner and more aesthetically pleasing. If you decide to pressure wash yourself, you are able to rent pressure washers. They key is to make sure you don’t go overboard. Start with the lowest setting and work your way up as you need and make sure you use the right safety precautions.

Deck or Outdoor Makeover. Summer is a great time to take advantage of your outdoor space. Take the time to clean the deck get it ready for the summer season and inspect it for potential mold. If you have enough space, you might want to think about adding an outdoor entertainment area, now would be a great time to start looking at how you might want to upgrade your outdoor space (barbecue, fire pit, seating, etc).

Paint. Not only does fresh paint make a property look great, it also protects it against UV light and moisture. When buying paint, keep in mind that the better the quality of the paint, the less frequently you’ll need to repaint. Also, remember to use primer before you even start painting! Lay down a layer of mulch to get rid of weeds for a cleaner look and start planting flowers or fruits and vegetables that will be ready to pick in the fall. Caulk. Use caulk, a waterproof sealant, around doors and windows. It can help cut heating and cooling bills because it keeps the indoor air in and the drafts from outside out, saving you money!  Caulk can also prevent mold and mildew by sealing off cracks before they let in moisture. A five dollar tube can go a very long way.
